Greenbelt National Park9

Our last day I hike the Perimeter Trail, 5.3 miles around the park. I detour onto the Dogwood Trail for good measure and am gone almost 3 hours. I can hear the helicopters from Andrews AFB and sirens from ambulances rushing to nearby hospitals. On parts of the trail I can see the busy highways filled with cars rushing by. Yet, I feel protected and secluded in my own little Eden tucked away from the busy world outside of the park.
