As we saunter and meander on a warm day of sunshine and blue skies, we make our way across the pedestrian bridge over Park Boulevard and head to the Desert Garden nature path.

I actually walked through Balboa Park in December 2013 with my son John and his then fiancé, Amanda, on a busy weekend. It was so crowded and alive with music and people! My visit this time looked so different and I was able to see and digest more. What a beautiful place right in the heart of a California city!
